Frequently Asked Questions
At Mental Gym Therapy, we use an integrative methodology. Thanks to this approach, we can adapt the model to the person rather than forcing the person to fit the model. Within our specialties, we work with:
BRIEF AND STRATEGIC THERAPY; The brief therapy model focuses on resolving specific problems quickly and effectively, providing practical tools to generate visible changes in a short period of time. It’s not about rushing, but rather about avoiding unnecessarily prolonged therapy.
Often, people face unexpected problems that lead them to seek help because the solutions used so far have proven ineffective. Through brief psychotherapy, these attempted solutions are analyzed to examine their relationship with the problem, and if they are ineffective, alternative strategies are proposed.
COGNITIVE-BEHAVIORAL THERAPY; Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) focuses on identifying and analyzing thought and behavior patterns that cause distress, and then changing them if necessary. It equips individuals with the skills needed to face challenges more effectively and improve their quality of life.
The goal is to challenge these dysfunctional beliefs and propose alternative explanations, taking into account how the thought affects the person’s emotions and, consequently, their behavior.
SPORTS PSYCHOLOGY; Thanks to brief therapy, we can quickly address specific problems related to performance or emotional well-being in the sports context, providing practical strategies to improve performance. Meanwhile, under the umbrella of cognitive-behavioral therapy, we can identify and change thoughts and behaviors that are affecting athletic performance, promoting a more positive mindset and more effective habits to achieve our sports goals.
CLINICAL AND HEALTH PSYCHOLOGY; Clinical psychology helps with the diagnosis and treatment of the main mental disorders that individuals may face.
PAS Framework – Power, Threat, Meaning; This is an integrative model based on a holistic view of the human being, offering an alternative to the biomedical paradigm. Moving away from labels and diagnoses, it helps you understand and address your experiences and emotions. It allows you to explore how you feel in relation to your environment, identify what empowers you, what threatens you, and what holds meaning for you, in order to enhance your emotional well-being and relationships from a systemic perspective.
Sessions will be conducted (except in certain cases) online to accommodate each individual’s circumstances. This way, it doesn’t matter where you are, as we can hold the session via a Google Meet link that you will receive before the session begins.
The first session is informational and free of charge. It will last approximately 20 to 30 minutes, during which we will assess whether I can help you and in what way.
Session durations may vary, but 1 hour will be reserved for you. In the brief therapy model, the most important work happens between sessions. It’s of little use to discuss something during the session if it is not applied in daily life afterward.
The price for an online session is €85, payable in advance via PayPal, bank transfer, or Bizum.
The first session will be informational and free of charge.
The price for quick consultations via email is €15, which will be deducted if a therapeutic relationship is initiated.
For other services (trainings, lectures, or customized actions), you can contact me directly for more information.
